AWRCS Racing Series |
|
 |
|
The
AWRCS XC series is
considered by many to be
one of the toughest
series out there. With
fresh cut woods, killer
hill climbs, and nasty
stream crossings this
series is sure to
satisfy even the most
seasoned of racers. The
series takes place at
various locations in PA,
WV, and OH. For more

AWRCS 2006 Season Event
Rules
Track Layout
Þ Courses are to be
between 2 ½ to 25 miles
in length.
Þ Courses can include
roads, trail, virgin
terrains and motocross
tracks with varying
elevations.
Course Markings
Þ Corners must be marked
at the entrance and
exit.
Þ Whenever two markers
are placed side by side
riders must pass between
them.
Þ All markers must be in
sight of each other.
Þ All old trails must be
blocked off where a new
course turns off.
Þ All riders must remain
on the marked course,
the marked course being
within 20 feet of the
arrows.
Flags
Þ Green = Start and or
normal race conditions.
Þ Red = Race is stopped
at that point
Þ White = One lap to go.
Þ Checkered = Finish.
Time
Þ Bikes: 2.5 hours plus
one lap, with a minimum
of two hours.
Þ Quads: 2 hours plus a
lap with a minimum of
one hour and 30 minutes.
Þ Times may be altered
by promoter at any point
before or during the
event.
Starts & Scoring
Þ Start
§ Starts can be live or
dead engine, this will
be determined by the
promoter.
§ There will be a one
minute interval between
each row. During this
time all machines must
be shut off.
Þ Scoring
§ TMC helmet sticker
must be on the RIGHT
side of the helmet and
must NOT be covered by
the goggle strap.
§ Scoring can be either
transponder or manual,
this is determined by
the promoter.
§ The LED sign(s) used
during the event at the
scoring trailer is NOT
considered official and
will NOT be used to
determine final results
of an event.
§ Riders must complete ½
of the laps of the
leader in their class to
receive a trophy and or
points for that day’s
race.
§ Racers have 45 minutes
to finish the race after
the overall winner takes
the checkered flag.
§ If a quad or bike is
towed in from the
course, that lap will
not count in results.
Protest
Þ Riders will have no
more than 20 minutes
after the results are
posted to submit a
protest in writing to
the promoter or track
referee. Once the
trophies are presented
NO protests will be
received or reviewed.
Þ No protests accepted
until results are
posted.
Þ $25 protest fee,
returnable upon a
founded protest.
Þ The LED sign(s) used
during the event at the
scoring trailer is NOT
considered official and
will NOT be used to
determine final results
of an event.
Þ Protests related to
the LED sign read-out
during the event will
NOT be accepted.
Event Trophies & Awards
Þ Event Trophies/ Awards
will be available after
the 30 minute protest
time.
§ Trophies to top three
in each class; After the
top three, trophies will
be given at a rate on
one trophy for every
five riders.
§ Monetary payout is
$500.00 per event.
8. Year-End Trophies &
Awards
Þ Completion of eight
(8) of the ten (10) 2006
events and Membership
Card holder required for
eligibility for YEAD-END
trophies/awards.
Þ YEAR-END trophies will
be distributed at the
annual AWRCS banquet.
§ Trophies to top three
in each class, minimum.
Þ YEAR-END monetary
awards will be
distributed at the
annual AWRCS banquet.
§ Monetary payout of
$5,000.00 to overall
series quad champion and
overall series bike
champion.
Ties
Þ Ties, according to the
amount of points at the
end of the season, may
be resolved based on the
number of races each
racer had to acquire the
point value or from the
results of the last race
in which the racers
involved competed.
General Rules
Þ All riders must attend
the riders meeting.
Þ All quads must have a
tether-type kill device!
Automatic
disqualification
possible.
Þ Rider apparel must
consist of, but is not
limited to a helmet,
long sleeve shirt, pants
and boots above the
ankle.
Þ NO PIT RIDING! Riders
must not exceed first
gear idle when traveling
to and from their pit
area and must always
wear a helmet.
Þ Riders must be
registered for the event
before riding their quad
or bike anywhere.
Following these rules
ensures your competition
status in this series.
Thank you for your
cooperation.
ALL QUADS MUST HAVE A
TETHER-TYPE KILL SWITCH.
We will check this and
you will not be
permitted to participate
with out one.
Rider apparel must
consist of a helmet,
long sleeve shirt,pants
and boots above the
ankle.
There is absolutely NO
PIT RIDING, you may ride
only to and from your
pit area to the start
area.
